As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine hit its one-year mark, headlines across the US questioned funding the war in light of domestic issues, like natural disasters and the skyrocketing costs of infant formula.
Poland—the world’s biggest host of Ukrainian refugees—sought ways to unify people on a national scale, so we planted a social-friendly garden in the middle of NYC, transforming Ukraine’s national flower into a call for solidarity seen by 723 million people worldwide.
