MAK Apothecary needed a way to promote its “Go Lay Down” herbal tea blend to Black laborers in a way that felt firm and authentic, but not preachy. Ultimately, it became clear that while no Black child is unfamiliar with the words, “Go lay down!” from a parent or relative when stress or illness reared its ugly head, this advice seems largely forgotten by grownups.

So, in a world dominated by overworking, let’s champion one fundamental truth: When it comes to success, rest—not just work—is the secret.
